Join local author Randi Jones for a special pop-up conversation about her new book! Difficult & Beautiful: A Spiritual Journey Through Poetry, Practice, Loss and Love is a poetic depiction of real life experiences that ultimately led this author to a closer relationship with Christ. In this book, Randi Simpkins Jones bravely shares her life’s ups and downs via sections of prose that anchor every poem. Forty-three poems, graced with scripture and prose, point the reader to identify a commonality within the work, turn to self in reflection, and to seek God for revelation. With a diverse use of literary devices such as rhyme, alliteration, dialect, allusion, and haiku laced throughout this work, the reader witnesses a nuanced yet nimble approach to viewing life, accepting our unique paths, and creating a bond with the Divine as life journeys on.

Over this past year I’ve used my sketchbook & my camera more than ever. The value of a moment & how it makes you feel is priceless, and when it’s documented, you make it timeless. Through this show I hope to bring you into my world & the moments that remind me of who I am. As I’ve had to remind myself many times this year, while there can be great pain, there can also be great joy & soo much love:).. just gotta “keep movin” - Momma Come join me in celebrating my mom’s upcoming two-year anniversary of becoming infinite, & all of the love she “left” me with. 🌱
